About this job

This role invites PhD-level applied physicists to evaluate and improve how AI models reason about physical systems. You will design advanced physics problems, author rigorous solutions, audit AI-generated reasoning for physical consistency, and provide expert feedback to refine model behavior across classical mechanics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, and related domains.

What you'll do

  • Design complex, open-ended physics problems at PhD qualifying exam level requiring multi-step logical reasoning and mathematical derivation.
  • Write rigorous step-by-step solutions with flawless treatment of physical constants, unit conversions, and first-principles reasoning.
  • Evaluate AI-generated simulations, derivations, and proofs for physical consistency and identify violations of fundamental principles.
  • Provide structured expert feedback to improve how AI models reason about physical systems.
