About this job

This contract role asks a senior manufacturing or industrial engineer to write hard technical problems from their own field, such as process design, production systems, quality engineering, automation, and operations modeling. The expert also works out the correct solution with its reasoning and defines objective criteria so that another reviewer reaches the same verdict. It suits advanced-degree engineers with principal-level industry experience or a faculty appointment who can also review and flag work from other contributors.

What you'll do

  • Design difficult technical problems with realistic constraints and supporting data.
  • Provide the correct solution and walk through the reasoning behind it.
  • Define objective criteria so another expert would reach the same verdict on correctness.
  • Review problems from other contributors for technical accuracy and flag ambiguous ones.
