About this job

This role involves solving, creating and checking advanced mathematical problems that can be turned into reproducible computations with Python and command-line tools. It is aimed at mathematicians with a graduate degree or a comparable research background who can translate theory into numerical workflows and verify the results. The work is contract-based and fully remote.

What you'll do

  • Create, solve and review advanced mathematical and computational problems.
  • Translate mathematical requirements into executable Python workflows.
  • Automate calculations, numerical experiments and parameter sweeps with Python.
  • Test special cases and confirm that final answers are mathematically and numerically valid.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related quantitative field
  • Or BS in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field with 1 to 2 years of mathematics-focused experience

Pay

$60-120/hr
