About this job

This contract role asks systems architects to build realistic engineering scenarios that help AI models reason about system architecture, interfaces, dependencies and trade-offs. The work involves designing multidisciplinary projects, defining subsystem boundaries and technical constraints, and setting evaluation criteria with domain experts. It is aimed at experienced architects or chief architects who have led technical teams on complex engineering systems.

What you'll do

  • Design realistic engineering projects that require architectural decisions across several disciplines.
  • Translate project objectives into system architectures with defined boundaries, subsystem responsibilities and interfaces.
  • Break complex architectural problems into connected tasks with defined inputs, deliverables and dependencies.
  • Coordinate contributions from domain experts and set clear technical objectives and evaluation criteria.

This short remote pilot asks engineers with a doctorate or doctoral candidacy to write technical problems taken from real workflows in their field rather than textbook exercises. Contributors also work out the correct solution, explain the reasoning, and set objective criteria so that another engineer reaches the same verdict on correctness. It suits researchers and practitioners who can also review other contributors' problems and flag any that are ambiguous.
