About this job

This remote role asks applied mathematicians to check AI-generated answers and write rigorous solutions to problems in areas such as differential equations, statistics and numerical analysis. It suits holders of an advanced mathematics degree or a high-level olympiad medal who can judge whether a model's reasoning is sound. The work trains an AI model to tell flawed or poorly justified mathematical arguments from correct, practical ones.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate model outputs and verify mathematical solutions for errors in reasoning, modelling and numerical computations.
  • Write clear, rigorous solutions and explanations of applied mathematics problems.
  • Annotate and label data using proprietary software applications.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop new tasks and improve annotation tools.
