About this job

This role involves designing realistic experimental biology tasks and evaluating how frontier AI models perform on benchmark scientific challenges. You'll create scenarios from your own laboratory practice, run them through AI systems, and grade the AI's output against professional standards to help train models on hands-on experimental work.

What you'll do

  • Design realistic experimental-biology tasks including scenarios, prompts, and supporting files such as plate maps, images, and protocols.
  • Run tasks through frontier AI agents and grade their deliverables against professional standards.
  • Write clear grading rubrics specifying what correct deliverables must contain and explain why responses pass or fail.
  • Flag concrete failures with evidence such as ignored controls, missed outliers, incorrect normalization, or contradictions with raw data.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Master's degree in biology or related field
  • PhD in biology or related field
