About this job

This remote contract role asks materials scientists to annotate data and judge AI-generated answers on materials topics such as polymers, semiconductors, alloys and ceramics. It suits candidates with a graduate degree in a physical science or engineering who can tell whether a model's reasoning about structure, properties and processing is sound. The work also involves solving complex problems and writing detailed, rigorous explanations to guide model training.

What you'll do

  • Annotate and label materials science data using proprietary software.
  • Solve complex materials science problems and write detailed solutions.
  • Critically evaluate AI-generated responses on structure-property reasoning and processing assumptions.
  • Help develop new annotation tasks and improve annotation workflows with technical teams.
